Our vision for Ijawland

We see a breakthrough situation in our land – a breakthrough brought about by different types of people working in harmony with one another, working in different positive roles, working together for our common good. We see:

- God has anointed some Ijaw children with specific aims and skills to speed the breakdown of the current system that has kept our people in perpetual poverty and virtual slavery. These will perform the demolition role.

- Ijaw children, with a lot to lose from the breakdown of the old order, are working hard to improve the system by introducing changes that will make it better and stronger, so as to avert catastrophe. They will perform a reforming role.

- Ijaw children inventing and developing areas of growth and innovation for a new era in Ijawland. They will perform the construction role.

- Ijaw children with renewed vigour and determination to liberate themselves and their fellow-brethren in Ijawland. They will perform a liberating role.

- Ijaw children working relentlessly to ensure that the old corrupt and oppressive system breaks down as painlessly as possible for everyone who is dependent on it. They will perform a decolonising role.

- Ijaw children, as liberators and decolonisers, helping others to take more control over their own lives. They will perform an enabling role.

- Ijaw children changing their life style and, and helping other people to change theirs, so that their lives will become consistent with the true Ijaw values and belief system. They will perform a lifestyle role.

- Ijaw children exploring and communicating new concepts of power, wealth, governance, work, security, education, health, economics, etc, appropriate to Ijawland. They will perform a reconstruction role.

- Ijaw children who recognise that all the above people will contribute positively to the transformation of Ijawland, and who are prepared to work hard to ensure that the need to transform our land is widely understood, will bring about a widely shared process of conscious evolutionary change. They will perform a strategic role.
